The application process involves sending your documents and payment information to the appropriate offices by the designated deadline. Our review for admission into the MScOS program for a September start date will begin April 1st in the order of the complete applications received. Review of complete applications will continue until available spots are filled (with no applications reviewed after June 1 for the current year).  Applicants are encouraged to submit their completed application early to avoid disappointment as there are limited spots in our program. It is the applicant's responsibility to make sure all documents are complete before the deadline. If you have any questions, please contact us at MSc.OccScience@dal.ca.

Step 1: Complete Graduate Studies Application Form

Step 2: Pay Application Fee

Pay the application fee. (Applications will not be processed if fee is not included.)

Step 3: Complete the Master of Science (Occupational Science) Supplementary Application Form

Master of Science (Occupational Science) Thesis & Course Based .

 

Step 4: Submit Two Letters of Academic Reference

Submit  [PDF - 526 KB]. This MUST be submitted via the online electronic reference system according to FGS guidelines.

Step 5: Mail One Copy of Official Transcripts

Mail one copy of official transcripts of all university classes (in English with university stamp or letter of validation)

Note: 
It is your responsibility to ensure that your final transcripts for all “in-progress” courses as of when you submit your application are received by the School of Occupational Therapy by June 15th. If these transcripts are not received by June 15th, the Admissions Committee may not be able to consider your application.

If Applicable: Proof of proficiency in english (TOEFL/IELTS)

If your native language is not English, you must demonstrate your ability to pursue a graduate-level program in English before you will be admitted.

You may not have to do a language competency test (TOEFL/IELTS) if you have completed a degree at a recognized university where the language of instruction is English. This must be verified by the Dalhousie Registrar's Office.

Single course: SSGS applicants need only provide:

  • FGS application forms;  which are available at www.dalgrad.dal.ca/admissions
  • If applicable, proof of English language competency (International Students)
  • Two copies of official transcripts of all university courses
  • Request for specific courses of interest

Please note that even if a student has completed a course as an SSGS student and is admitted to the MSc in Occupational Science Program at a later date, full program fees apply

Noteworthy Information

It is your responsibility to make sure the School of Occupational Therapy receives your transcripts prior to the deadline.

We reserve the right to verify the validity of all documents provided, as well as the ability of an issuing institution to issue documents.
