Bio
Robyn MacQuarrie is a PhD candidate whose research interests focus on the exclusion of pregnant women from clinical trials, and specifically vaccine trials. Robyn completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at pilipiliÂþ» and received her FRCS(C).  She works part time as a practicing Obstetrician and Gynecology in Amherst, Nova Scotia.  She is completing her PhD program through the Interdisciplinary PhD Program at pilipiliÂþ» under the supervision of Françoise Baylis and Scott Halperin from the Canadian Centre for Vaccinology. She is very interested in the delivery of quality health care to women, both locally and nationally. She has served on the ACOG Committee on Ethics, and has done significant advocacy work trying to bring abortion services to Prince Edward Island.  Robyn has previously completed her MASc in Biomedical Engineering (Dalhousie), as well as an undergraduate degree in Microbiology and Immunology (Dalhousie).Â
