Shoot for the Cure is a national initiative by Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) Women’s Basketball Coaches Association to raise money and awareness in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF).
In its second season, the program has CIS women’s basketball teams “thinking pink” at regular season games, exhibition matches and tournaments. Last year, the league raised more than $50,000 and this year aims to double that figure.
