As a student in the Graduate Certificate in Mental Health and Addictions, you'll be completing a variety of assignments. You'll be doing things like readings, papers, discussions, group assignments and role-playing - all via distance technology.
Most students find that it takes a minimum of four terms to complete the required courses, by taking one course per term in consecutive sequence. Students may complete the certificate more quickly by enrolling in two courses per term.
The minimum time investment per course is ten hours per week, including three hours of online class time. Lectures are prerecorded, and can be watched as your schedule permits.
We find students get the most out of courses by being active participants. Although courses are all offered online, students are expected to engage with their classmates on discussion boards, watch pre-recorded lectures, and frequently complete assignments in groups.
The cost for each half-credit course is $1050. For more information, visit or call (902) 494-3998.
