Events

  •  On March 31st, 2014, students at the College of Pharmacy hosted a Faculty Appreciation Night to thank their professors for all of the hard work they do.  As well as a potluck and live music, there was a wall of comments written by students, describing how each of their professors has a positive influence on pharmacy education.  A highlight of the evening was when past and present students came forward to honour retiring College of Pharmacy Director Rita Caldwell.  It was clear that Rita has had a great positive impact during her time at the College, and that she will be missed by students and faculty alike.
  • The Dalhousie Student Pharmacy Society (DSPS) hosted their Annual DSPS Awards Night and Professor's Auction on April 9, 2014.  Following their awards ceremony - congratulations to all the deserving recipients - there was a charity auction with items donated by faculty and students.  The auction raised $4,400 for Phoenix, a non-profit organization based in Halifax that offers shelter and support for homeless or at risk youth.  The auction was attended by Jenna Adlakha from Phoenix.  The DSPS would like to thank everyone who came out to support the award recipients, as well as for their contributions to a worthy cause!
