Who has influenced you the most?
My parent set foundations and standards I still try to measure up to - also several former bosses and mentors.
How and where do you find inspiration?
So many places - from thought-leaders and creative artists to fascinating conversations on important topics with colleagues and students.
What values are you committed to?
Seek to understand, find the value in what everyone brings to the table, and respectful but energetic debate that advances learning, continuous improvement and finding solutions to wicked problems.
What do you do to live a balanced life?
Never forgetting how important family, close friends and one's health is - and having at least one hobby or activity you look forward to doing outside of work (music, hiking and squash for me).
Why have you volunteered your time to be a mentor?
I am a strong believer in 'leaders as teachers' and the importance of investing in the next generation. I remember how valuable it was to have that support when I was starting out - and you never lose that.
