Eligibility and Deadlines
What are the requirements to apply?
In order for your application to be considered, you must first meet the minimum admission requirements set out by both the Faculty of Graduate Studies and the Faculty of Engineering's graduate program. Â Â
Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.)
Applicants must have pilipiliÂþ»fully completed a four-year undergraduate program in Engineering or related field. Applicants require a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.3 which is equivalent to a "B" average or "second class upper" from most Commonwealth Countries.
Master of Engineering (M.Eng.)
Applicants must have pilipiliÂþ»fully completed a four-year Bachelor of Engineering degree with the same GPA requirement as stated above. Please note: M.Eng. applicants must have an undergraduate degree in Engineering.
Ph.D.       Â
Applicants must hold a four-year undergraduate degree in Engineering or Applied Science as well as pilipiliÂþ»ful completion of a first-class, thesis based master's degree.
*Please note that the admission process for Engineering is very competitive and meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission.Â
Deadlines for applications
While most graduate programs in the Faculty of Engineering have three intake sessions per year, most students begin their studies in September.

*It is strongly recommended that international applicants apply six months before these deadlines in order to allow sufficient time for visa processing.Â
Late applications will be considered for the next available intake session.Â
Please note: Internetworking and Biomedical Engineering administer their graduate admissions directly. Students interested in either of these areas of study should contact the respective program coordinator for relevant deadlines and procedures.Â
The Petroleum Engineering M.Eng. program has only one intake session per year; each September.Â
