Some of the fantastic biodiversity found on our campus during the 2019 BioBlitz.

On September 24th 2021, members of Dalhousie Agricultural Campus and the wider community will be participating in the Dalhousie BioBlitz.

A bioblitz is an event that aims to observe and record species found in a defined area over a short period of time. Join our naturalist guides as we log biodiversity on our campus using the free and user-friendly app: iNaturalist. Any species observed and posted on September 24th, will be automatically added to our collaborative project page.

To join us for the fun, please sign-up using the Eventbrite pages linked below. Signing-up ahead of time will ensure we can communicate any changes to the schedule prior to the event.

Members of the campus and wider community are also encouraged to take photos of biodiversity on campus throughout the day. An excellent tutorial on how to use INaturalist can be viewed here:

Aquatic Critters (9:00 AM -11:00 AM) -
Pollinators and other Insects (1:00 PM -2:30 PM) -
Camera Traps (3:00 PM-4:00 PM) -
Nocturnal Insects (8:00 PM -9:00 PM) -
