RAMS Weekend Recap – January 25-26
Woodsmen (January 25 – MacDonald Campus of McGill University)
The DAL AC Men’s and Women’s Woodsmen teams took to the road for their first winter term competition and did not disappoint. Both A teams set the pace with first place victories continuing their dominance heading into the final competition. The Women’s B Team also managed to capture an event win taking the snowshoe event which is unique to the MAC competition.  Â

The team will now be preparing for the final competition of the year hosted by Dal AC at the MacMillan Show Centre on February 8th. Hope to see everyone there!
Equestrian – January 26 – Acadia Show
The Dal AC Equestrian team had a strong competition this past weekend which was hosted by Acadia. The mild weather was nice but very wet!Â
DAL AC was the reserve champion team coming second place to host Acadia.

Women’s Volleyball
January 24 – MSVU vs DAL AC
The Dal AC Rams put in a complete performance with a dominating 3-0 victory over the MSVU Mystics. Highlighted by performances from Mariah Putnam, Jill Ferguson and Savan Heijnen the Rams led from start to finish, never looking troubled. The Mystics kept it interesting with a number of big kills from Marcy MacNeil and Brooke Wallace but ultimately it was not enough as the Rams won behind scores of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-21.
January 26 – DAL AC vs Holland College
In the RAMS first opportunity to measure up against the leagues top team they put forth a fantastic effort in a match that was up for grabs through 3 sets. The Canes weathered the storm and were able to take the 3rd and 4th sets to complete 3-1 victory (25-23, 25-27, 25-21, 25-17). The Rams were led by Marit Zwinselman with 14 points. Â
DAL AC Athletes of the Week
Kate Nason (Woodsmen)
Kate Nason is this weeks Dal AC female athlete of the week after excelling in this past weekend’s competition. As a winner of two events (chainsaw and chop) she helped lead the women’s team to their 3rd straight competition victory.
Jacob Terbeek (Woodsmen)
Jacob had a strong performance at the MAC competition this year helping to lead his team to another competition victory. Individually, Jacob won his chop event and was runner up in the Axe throw.
