During the AC Wellness launch in May you told your AC Wellness Committee what YOU wanted.Ìý Well, we listened and we’ve spent the summer taking action on some of your ideas.
Here are some things you can take part in during the fall.
- Friday Fitness Fusion – Open to everyone on campus, every Friday in September, and paid for by your AC Wellness Committee. Finish your work week with some energizing and fun activity to set you up for the weekend.Ìý Bonus: You’ll get to see the newly refreshed gym and stage areas. (Check out the new Langille Athletics membership fees while you’re here!)
- Walking groups –starting in September grab your co-workers, friends, students, or favorite professor to build a walking pod. Your pod can walk whenever, wherever and for as long or short a time as you’re able.Ìý We’ve even built in a little friendly completion between pods.Ìý More details will follow next week.
- Halloween events – Your AC Wellness Committee has teamed up with our United Way campaign to host a costume contest and a pumpkin carving competition. Dates and details will be releases in early September. Start planning your costume and pumpkin designs now!
- December – Family and campus wide holiday party.Ìý This is still in the planning phase.
Your AC Wellness Committee consists of members from many different units around campus.Ìý The committee is very flexible.Ìý Anyone can be part of the group without the expectation of needing to attend every meeting or event.Ìý You can even take part for a single event if it is something you are interested in helping with but don’t have the time for the larger group commitment.
Anyone with ideas for these or other activities, or if you would like to help you can reach us at agnews@dal.ca
