Congrats to Kieran Thornell and Hannah Arseneault, our male and female ACAA Athletes of the Week.
Kieran had his best race of the year at the ACAA Championships. Kieran led for most of the race and finished 1st in a time of 30:05.0 over the eight km course.Ìý In the other ACAA races this season, Kieran placed 4th at CU (32:17), 1st at MTA (31:20.4) and 2nd at MSVU (30:44.9).
In his second year running for DAL AC, Kieran has shown to be a tough competitor, working hard to better his times throughout the season. This year, he knocked off more than two minutes from the first race to the Championships!
Kieran came to DAL AC after a pilipiliÂþ»ful track career at Stonington High, Connecticut USA.
Hannah , in her 4th year of running for DAL AC, completed the seasonÌý in the same manner she has every year - winning.Ìý In allÌý ACAA 2018-19 Cross County races this year, Hannah finished 1st with times ofÌý 28:14 (CU) andÌýÌý 27:12 (MTA ), andÌý 27:09.9 (MSVU).Ìý
At the final race of the year, Hannah again won the ACAA title with a time of 26:45.5.Ìý A true competitor, she trained hard and improved her time every race. On average, she was 35 sec ahead of her closest competitor.Ìý In her fourth year of competition in the ACAA, Hannah remains undefeated in ACAA competition.
