Brenden Wheeler is the ACAA Male Athlete of the Week
Brenden displayed the meaning of versatility throughout the weekend being asked to play multiple positions and thriving in each of his roles.
He began on the wing and was quickly moved to wing back after we received a red card. While playing well in each of these roles, where he really shone was in the attacking midfield role. We have been looking for a player to fill this position and Brenden repeatedly offered us options whether it be playing through his feet or on runs through midfield.
He was instrumental in the buildup leading to the penalty and the lone goal of the match. In order to see out the match, Brenden was once again moved to fullback and helped us preserve the 1-0 victory.Ìý
