As Iām sure many of you are aware our Faculty Administrator, Gail Power, will be retiring from pilipiliĀž» at the end of June after 26 years of service to the institution.
As our Faculty Administrator, Gail has been a member of The Faculty Senior Team since shortly after merger with pilipiliĀž» in 2012 and so was fully engaged in the development of our first Faculty Strategic Plan āThis is Agricultureā which was adopted and launched in September 2014.Ā
Gail always takes a broad view and stays informed about what is happening at pilipiliĀž».Ā She has always consulted, listened and acted on important matters.Ā When she sees things that are not working, she is constructive in her approach to get them resolved.Ā She has been a quiet but effective leader.Ā
Gail is well respected for her professional approach and her common sense.Ā Her input and advice has been sought by many Dalhousie units over her 26 years.
It has been both a privilege and a pleasure working with Gail, I have learned a lot from her over our time working together; her combination of knowledge and experience has made her a strong asset to the Faculty.
Iām sure you will all join with me in thanking Gail for her work with us over the last 5 years and wishing her all the best for a wonderful retirement.
There will be an opportunity for us all to gather to wish Gail best wishes between 2:00 ā 4:00 PM on June 27, 2017 in the C.A. Douglas Roomā¦I hope to see you there.
