We are currently accepting nominations for the following awards for graduating students:
Distinguished Graduate Awards:
Distinguished Graduate Awards are designed to express acknowledgement and appreciation to graduating students who have, through their time, energy, talent and leadership, enriched the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus community during their studies without neglecting academic pursuits. Recipients are recognized for contributions made through their involvement over time in multiple activities, including, but not limited to, student government, campus activities, community service, sport and recreation, internationalization, or other campus programs. A Distinguished Graduate Award is given based on the totality of a student’s contributions to the Agricultural Campus. Students graduating from all Faculty of Agriculture programs are eligible for Distinguished Graduate Awards. While there is no limit on the number of graduates who may receive the awards, typically there are fewer than five.
Noel Enman Award:
This award was instituted in 1984 in memory of Noel Enman (1961-1983). It is presented annually to a graduating technician or technology student whose personality and fellowship have contributed to student life and activities, thereby gaining the respect of the students and faculty.
Nomination Process
Students, staff or faculty may nominate a student e-mailing Keltie Jones (keltie.jones@dal.ca). Nominations must include a summary of why the nominee is qualified for the award. Self-nominations are permitted. All students nominated for the Distinguished Graduate Award will then be asked to complete a “Distinguished Graduate Awards Information Sheet” that the Committee will consider in determining award recipients.
Nominations are due no later than March 13, 2015, at 4:30 p.m.
