Science Atlantic (formerly APICS, the Atlantic Provinces Council on the Sciences) is a charitable association of 18 post secondary and research institutes in Atlantic Canada with a mandate to advance science education and research at the undergraduate level.
This year's Environment Conference, hosted by St. FX, and Aquaculture & Fisheries and Biology Conference, hosted by MSVU, through Science Atlantic were held March 14- 16.
Seven students from the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus participated. In Aquaculture & Fisheries the students were Yue Guo, Stephanie Hall, Ling Feng, Yangfan Zhang and Elizabeth Baker. In the Biology section the students were Connie van den Heuvel and Jakob Vogel.
Jakob won thrid prize for his presentation “ Effect of exposure to individual ration components on feed sorting behaviour of dairy heifers.”
"It was great to see so many of our students take part in this Atlantic conferece and represent us well,"said Tarjei Tennessen. "They all did us proud."
