Starting the second week of January, we will be hosting a weekly lunch hour meeting of great minds: Ruminate.
Ruminate is an informal discussion group, our mission is to promote and share ideas. Every week will be different. Anyone who is interested can take turns in leading the discussion. We can talk about recent or classic papers, issues faced by academia or agriculture, hot topics on this campus, challenges specific to the Maritimes or the world, or anything else you think would be of interest to the group. Â
Do you have a big presentation coming up? Or maybe you are submitting an article to a journal? Ruminate can act as a sounding board. Did you just get back from a conference and want to share some of the exciting new ideas you’ve learned? Ruminate can act as a forum to air them.
This is open to faculty, staff and graduate students from all over campus. Also if you know any undergraduate students who would like to participate, please invite them.
Our first meeting will be on Tuesday, January 14th from 12:30-1:30pm in Cox 160. Bring your lunch and your ideas! The first meeting will be to discuss potential topics and make a schedule of discussion leaders for the coming weeks.
See you there!
