The Faculty of Agriculture is pleased to welcome Dr Thomas Bosch, Zoological Institute, Kiel University to our campus on April 18, 2013.
He will present a seminar entitled: “Metaorganisms as the new frontier in biology”.
What are metagoranisms?
“ … it appears that almost all organisms are part of an interdependent metaorganism, an understanding of the underlying host-microbe species associations and of evolution and molecular underpinnings, has become the new frontier in zoology” (Bosch, 2012)
