Ag Impact Awards

Student Impact awards were presented last week at the Faculty of Agricultureā€™s Leadership Banquet.Ā  Students were honoured for their contributions to student life on the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus.Ā  Robyn McCallum was awarded the University Leadership award for Student Government and the Phillip Stead Memorial Excellence in Student Leadership Award.

University Leadership Award

This award recognizes a student for their commitment and important leadership to the Agricultural campus by taking an active role in student government through contribution to a Studentsā€™ Association committee.

As newly elected President of pilipiliĀž»­ Studentsā€™ Association and outgoing Vice President Internal Affairs, Robyn McCallum has certainly represented campus well.Ā  Through time and commitment, Robyn has been involved in many student activities, has held an interest in Merger discussions in order to communicate to her peers and is recognized for her ambition to engage the campus community and be active within the agricultural industry.Ā  Where there is school pride, you will find Robyn McCallum.Ā

Phillip Stead memorial Excellence in Student Leadership Award

This award is presented in memory of Phillip Stead, a graduate of the former NSAC who devoted much of his personal and professional time to the advancement of Maritime agriculture.Ā  The award recognizes a student at the AC who has demonstrated a significant and positive impact on campus and/or community life through their leadership skills and initiative; have demonstrated academic achievement; is committed to team work; has influenced the development of future leaders at AC and is recognized as a role model and an effective leader by peers, staff, and faculty. Ā The recipient of this annual award will receive $2,500 as donated by the Stead family, the Dairy Holstein industry and surrounding community.Ā 

Through time and dedication, Robyn has gained the trust and respect of her peers, staff and faculty.Ā  She is known for her ability to bring current campus issues to the forefront, creates and maintains a schedule of activities that appeal to the diverse groups on campus and is sincere in her effort to make the campus community a great place to learn.Ā  Robyn has been involved in student government from the first day she arrived on campus, has challenged students to be better to and for each other and demonstrates her love for the school through her hard work. In addition to her AC life, Robyn is a young entrepreneur, who is not afraid to take challenges and pave the way of her future in Agriculture.Ā  She is a student that makes us proud!Ā
