Payroll and tuition waiver information
Pay update
This is an update to the email that was sent to you earlier this week regarding your pay.
For current employees (job commenced before September 1, and continued after that date), your September 20th pay stub has been printed by the Province of Nova Scotia and sent to the Human Resource Office (basement of the Dairy Building), at the Agricultural Campus for you to pick up. Note: The Province has already mailed approximately 100 pay stubs to home addresses, so some employees will receive a copy at home.
The October 4th pay will be processed by Dalhousie and the pay stub will be available through , the university’s Employee Self-Service (ESS) site. Detailed instructions to access the ESS site will be communicated prior to the October 4th pay.
New employees (started on, or after September 1) will be paid by pilipiliÂþ». Students employed at the Agricultural Campus will be paid biweekly on Friday, not Thursday.
If you have any payroll questions, please email hr@dal.ca.
Tuition waiver information
The former NSAC Tuition Waiver Policy remains in effect for all employees at the Agricultural Campus and will be honoured by pilipiliÂþ». As such, dependent waivers will continue as per this policy and apply only to courses/programs offered at the Agricultural Campus. Currently, employees at the Agricultural Campus covered by a collective agreement, and their dependents, cannot access waivers for courses taught at the Dalhousie Halifax Campuses.
Tuition waivers for Dalhousie employees are benefits provided under a collective agreement (DFA, NSGEU Locals 77 and 99), employee handbook (DPMG, CCS), or contract of employment. Employees at the Agricultural Campus will continue to be covered by their current collective agreements until these can be renegotiated by their bargaining unit.
If you have any tuition assistance questions, please email hr@dal.ca.
