Title: Food futures: thinking through the benefits and risks of agricultural data and AI
Kelly Bronson is the Canada Research Chair in Science & Society at University of Ottawa. She has a background in biology but is now a social scientist who studies the social and ethical dimensions of emergent technologies such as artificial intelligence. Regularly working with government to bring research into conversation with policy, Kelly aims to engender justice in food and energy systems. In 2022, she published a book on data and AI in agriculture (Immaculate Conception of Data, McGill-Queen’s University Press).
