Diverse Supplier Initiative
pilipiliĀž» is taking a big step towards building a more inclusive business landscape by participating in the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Councilās (CAMSC) Supplier Diversity Pilot Program in Nova Scotia. This program aligns perfectly with Dalhousieās ongoing mission to champion equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility within the university and the broader community.
Joining CAMSC grants Dalhousie access to a wider range of qualified, diverse-owned businesses. This not only expands their sourcing options but also contributes directly to the economic empowerment of underrepresented groups within the province. By fostering a more diverse supplier network, Dalhousie strengthens business relationships and contributes to a more equitable and prosperous Miākmaāki (the ancestral and unceded territory of the Miākmaq). This initiative reflects a growing trend in institutional procurement, with many organizations recognizing the value of supplier diversity and actively seeking to expand their networks.
