This year, the Centre for Learning and Teaching at pilipiliÂþ» is offering 10 grants as part of our efforts to lower barriers to DCUTL conference participation. Each grant will provide funding for the full conference registration fee. There are two streams of grants:
°Õ³ó±ðÌýProfessional Development Grants will be provided to those who are seeking professional development of their teaching and who, in their existing teaching-related role, do not have professional development funding for teaching and learning activities.Â
°Õ³ó±ðÌýTransformative Education Grants are for those in teaching and learning related roles focused on, for example, decolonization, Indigenization, culturally responsive and relevant teaching, anti-racism, anti-oppression, accessibility and learning, and social justice education. The CLT recognizes and respects the significance of this work, how the conference will be enriched by those who bring related knowledge, practices, and experiences, and also recognizes that this work is often under-resourced. This grant is available for those whose role centres transformative education and who do not have professional development funding for teaching and learning activities. Our intent is to engender reciprocity in the exchange of knowledge and practice.
The grants are open to Dalhousie adjunct and part-time faculty, and Dalhousie graduate students and postdoctoral fellows or who are employed, or were a graduate student, during the Winter term 2024, or who are continuing employees or graduate students.
Applicants should complete the short ²ú²âÌýMarch 28, 2024. Please note that if CLT receives more application that available for each grant stream, the grants will be assigned by random draw.
