Job Summary & Key Responsibilities Ìý

The Lab Assistant is primarily responsible for providing support for the lab component of the class as assigned by the Instructor supervisor, after consultation with the Department Chair.Ìý Ìý

Responsibilities may include providing instruction to undergraduate students, supervising Teaching Assistant group, supervising undergraduate students, managing lab reports and assignments, and tutorial support. This position reports to the Dean of the Faculty of Science through the Chair of the Department of Chemistry.

Qualifications/Requirements of Position Ìý Minimum qualification for this position is a BSc Degree in Chemistry (or a related program). Experience providing support for teaching 1st-year university chemistry in the laboratory environment is strongly preferred; experience providing support for teaching within the Concepts in Chemistry program is also strongly preferred.Ìý
