MAI

Name:
Mai [pronounced 'my']

Significance: Her mom spent two years teaching English in Japan and learned that this name is a combination of two Japanese words: 'ma' meaning real/genuine and 'ai' meaning love/affection. So Mai means ‘genuine love.’

Nickname: Sweet Girl, Fluffer, Fluffy Chicken, Sweetie Mai

Species/Breed: Norwegian Forest Cat (we think). Calico. Saucy.

Age: 13 years old

Fave Food: Spinach. Seriously. All you have to do is say the word and open the fridge door and she comes running.

Special Tricks: She loves playing the game The Floor is Lava. And making on-screen appearances during Teams meetings/conference calls.

Best quality: She gives her pawrents the best hugs and cuddles! And she has been very patient with her two little kitten brothers, Piper and Griffin, since they moved in with her in October.

Social media platform or handle: As if! Mai doesn't conform to any social norms. Period.

PIPER AND GRIFFIN

Names:
Piper (the grey one) and Griffin (the black one)

Nicknames: Pipes and Griff. The boys. Baby brothers.

Species/Breed: Thing 1 and Thing 2.

Age: 9 months

Fave Food:
Kitten food (because that's all they mainly eat right now), shrimp treats, and any food they manage to steal from their big kitty sister, Mai’s dish.

Special Tricks: Opening cupboards. Playing fetch. Jumping high and long distances. Also making on-screen appearances during Teams meetings/conference calls.

Best quality: They are a bonded pair of brothers that were rescued together - they love to wrestle, play together, groom and look out for each other! They are starting to gain the trust of Mai.

Social media platform or handle:
They're still too young to manage their own social platforms ... or anything, for that matter.
