The School of Social Work is seeking teaching assistants for a number of courses being offered this spring and summer.
±Ź°æ³§±õ°Õ±õ°æ±·:ĢżTeaching Assistant Positions āĀ Spring/Summer 2020Ā ā Bachelor/Master of Social Work ā Campus/Distance MULTIPLE POSITIONS ā Details about courses available here
PAY RATE: $24.41/hour as per CUPE 3912 Collective Agreement.
WORK ASSIGNMENT: Duties may include preparation of teaching material, marking, invigilation, and communication with students and instructor.Ā For distance courses this may include additional online activities (e.g. monitoring online discussion boards).
*NOTE ā SLWK 2335 TA: includes mandatory 2-week on-campus residency (May 4-15, 2020).Ā TA must be available to attend the residency in person ā travel expenses are not covered.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:Ā Ā For BSW courses, enrollment in the MSW program or a graduate of a Social Work program.Ā For MSW courses, graduate of a Master of Social Work program (or all coursework, including field, completed).Ā Ā Ā Applicants must have knowledge of, or experience in, the subject matter being taught.Ā Ā Must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ā Ā Previous instructional and evaluation experience and familiarity with online course tools are considered assets.
