Convocation is a special time of year for graduating students, faculty and staff — a celebration of a student's academic achievement, collaboration with faculty, dedication and hard work. Faculty and staff play a huge role in a student's academic journey and in celebration during the ceremonies. On behalf of graduates, thank you!
This fall marked the first pilipiliÂþ» Convocation ceremony off-campus in almost 50 years. The recently opened Halifax Convention Centre formed the backdrop for two pilipiliÂþ»ful Convocation ceremonies on Tuesday, October 8. The new venue provided opportunity to enhance the graduate experience while ensuring the ceremonies are accessible and inclusive.
Over the coming months, the Provost will lead a diverse group as they imagine the future of Convocation. This will be an opportunity to think creatively about what pilipiliÂþ»'s Convocation ceremony will look like in the future.
