COURSE INFORMATION: Russian 1070: Modern Russian Culture & Civilization
Writing Requirement – Winter Term 2019 (January 1, 2019 – April 30, 2019)
Currently Scheduled: MWF 16:05 – 17:25

WORK ASSIGNMENT: Working in close consultation with the Part-Time Academic, the
Teaching Assistant will conduct weekly tutorials and office hours (1 hour per
week, day to be determined). The Teaching Assistant will focus on developing
the students’ writing skills and will assist in the grading of students’
assignments and essays.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Applicants
should be entering and/or have completed their final year of a BA Honours. Good
interpersonal skills required to work with groups of students or for one-on-one
interaction. Previous tutoring experience, excellent English composition
skills; some knowledge of Russian culture would be an asset.
