Be a part of Dalhousie's Commuter Challenge team! Leave the car at home and walk, bike, run, carpool, or take transit to work. Register as a Dalhousie employee atÌý. An Instant Sustainability Award will be awarded to whoever logs the longest commute. If you want to increase your active transportation but do not know where to start, take advantage of our Trip Planning Services and bike week event!

As part of Canadian Environmental Week, the Office of Sustainability encourages Dalhousie students, staff, and faculty to opt for low-carbon transportation. This may include walking, cycling, or taking public transit to work/school. If you do not feel safe walking or cycling in Halifax, or if you are uncertain how Metro Transit services operate, we welcome you to make an appointment with Trip Planning Services. Our dedicated team of Trip Planners will advise you on how to commute to and from Dalhousie while leaving the car at home. Trip Planning Services is offered by appointment only, 11:30-1:30, 5thÌýfloor 1236 Henry Street in room 511. EmailÌýrethink@dal.caÌýto make a Trip Planning appointment.​
