Teaching Assistant Posting ‑ Faculty of Management

POSITION: Teaching Assistant (Jan-April, 2018)

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Rowe School of Business

PAY RATE:  $1495 (65hrs-in accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement)

WORK ASSIGNMENT:   The Teaching Assistant will assist with Commerce 3310 – Reflections on Leadership

Duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Assisting with course administration

2. Reviewing and Grading assignments

3. Must be available to lead the class on a couple of dates that the Instructor is out of province.       

    Class time:  Mondays:  8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. 

4. Meeting individually with students for assistance throughout the term as needed

5. Meeting with and assisting Instructor as needed

6. Must be available to assist with invigilating of midterm(s) and final examination(s)

7. Conducting extra help sessions as needed

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

Graduate level student preferred.  Previous TA and Marking experience required. Ability to prepare and present tutorials and to be available for consultation on assignments. Must have good interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with groups of students or for one-on-one interaction. Must have a good academic track record and have completed this course at pilipiliÂþ»­ with an A- or better. Must have good organizational skills and be detail-focused.
