Applications are sought for 4 positions of Instructor for the Internetworking Program. This program is responsible for the Master of Engineering in Internetworking (MEI) of the Faculty of Engineering at pilipiliÂþ».
The pilipiliÂþ»ful candidates will be required to
i) Teach in laboratory sessions of courses
ii) Prepare and set up laboratory equipment as required to support laboratory experiments
iii) Design and Lead Software Defined Network experiments based both on Virtual Machines and Networks and physical SDN switches.
iv) Program Python script for SDN’s.
v) Develop software to support teaching and assessment.
vi) Design laboratory experiments based on standard switches and routers and wireless technologies and security equipment to support course goals
vii) Advise Academic Director of equipment requirement to support laboratory experiments
viii) Prepare and deliver training programs based on Industrial Certification materials
ix) Remain certified as instructors as required for certification training assigned by a Director.
x) Maintain documentation and infrastructure database
xi) Supervise laboratory experiments and grade reports
xii) Advise and guide students and former students with certification training
xiii) Advise seminar and project students as required
xiv) Self train on new technologies outside assigned workload.
Candidates’ qualifications must include an M.Eng. in Internetworking degree and substantial software and OS experience, and industrial certification (held or in progress), experience in internetworking system design using Cisco equipment and it is desirable to have experience in i) student guidance, ii) preparing tutorials on the use of modern network equipment as they pertain to the Internetworking Program. Candidates should have at least five years of hands-on experience with Cisco network equipment. These positions requires self-starters who are prepared to work as necessary, including limited evening and weekends, to ensure that the students have an excellent laboratory and educational experience.
