Thanksgiving (Canada)
Thanksgiving Day in Canada has been a holiday on the second Monday of October since 1957. It is a chance for people to give thanks for a good harvest and other fortunes in the past year.

Indigenous Peoples' Day
Indigenous Peoples' Day (also known as Native American Day) is a holiday celebrated in the United States. It began as a counter-celebration to Columbus Day, promoting Native American culture and commemorating the history of Native American peoples.

October 11
Yom Kippur/ Day of Atonement (JU)
The holiest day of the year for the Jewish people. Jewish people traditionally observe this holy day with an approximate 25-hour period of fasting and intensive prayer, often spending most of the day in synagogue services.

International Day of the Girl Child
On December 19, 2011, the United Nations General Assembly declared October 11th as the International Day of the Girl Child, to recognize girls rights and the unique challenges girls face around the world.

Ashura (IS)
