Transcend geographic borders by taking part in a Canadian Culture Night. By welcoming exchange students into your home to get a taste of Canadian culture, you can offer a fun and valuable learning experience outside the classroom and create lasting memories.
The night is exactly what you make it, and is open to your take on what constitutes a āCanadianā experience. It could be:
ā¢ Watching a hockey game and providing your own version of āHockey Night in Canadaā
ā¢ A Canadian breakfast complete with Canadian bacon and LOTS of maple syrup
ā¢ Sharing your favourite snowshoe or hike
ā¢ A board game night involving Trivial Pursuit, Canadian Monopoly, Rummoli, etc.
ā¢ A baking night (maple cookies, butter tarts)
The recommended number of guests is 5-6 students but can be larger or smaller based on preference. The timing is flexible and can work around your personal schedule. The International Centre will manage promotion and registration for the activity you host, and event registration for students will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please email inboundexchange@dal.ca for more information or to sign up.Ā
