Facilities Management changes at the Agricultural Campus

Posted by Facilities Management on September 16, 2015 in Facilities Management

There are administrative changes in the operation of the Facilities Management office at the Agricultural Campus. Clients will now be served directly by FM employees without the support of an administrative position.  Facilities Management strives to provide excellence in facilities management to the Dalhousie community and to that end, we have kept client interests front and centre as we have worked towards this change.

What does this mean for our clients?

  • Tony Fleck continues to provide leadership for Trades Services at the AC.  Tony can be reached at 902-893-6662
  • Jason Penney continues to provide leadership for Custodial Services at the AC, as well as administrative leadership for Security Services on Campus.  Jason can be reached at 902-893-6269
  • Kevin Craig continues to provide leadership for the Heating Plant at the AC. Kevin can be reached at 902-893-4693.
  • Gordie Farrell has been promoted to the newly created role of Trades General Foreperson.
  • Starla Hutt and Joanne Merritt continue in their roles as Custodial General Forepersons.
  • Clients continue to make service requests using FAMIS self-serve or by calling Client Reception at 902-494-3345.
  • All Minor Project requests will be routed to Carl Baillie (AC Planner). Carl will continue to contact clients to discuss their project requests.
  • Anne Marie Mason (AC Project Manager) will continue to manage client projects.
  • Building access requests and daily parking permits will be managed by security services, and can be arranged by called Bob Collette at 902-893-4190
  • Clients are invited to arrange event bookings by calling 902-494-1051.
  • The Dairy Boardroom can continue to be scheduled using Outlook.

These changes were the result of a culmination of many factors including,

  • The merger of NSGEU local 92 with NSGEU Local 99, NSGEU Local 77 and our DPMG group
  • The implementation of Famis Self Serve and the MASS project across the University
  • The budget constraints within the facilities management budget for the Agricultural Campus

Facilities Management looks forward to continuing to provide excellence in service to you, our clients.  Please contact us for any of your service needs.
