PAY RATE:Â As per Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The part-time academic will be responsible for History 3471.03, Wars and Revolutions in Twentieth-Century Africa in the Winter Term of the 2013-14 academic year, January 1-April 30, 2014, which explores wars and revolutions in twentieth-century Africa. Class is currently scheduled for Fridays 9:35-12:25. The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class and in addition is to be available for two hours per week outside class times for student consultation. The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the Department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in History or be registered in a Ph.D. programme and have demonstrated excellence in teaching the history of Africa to senior undergraduates. Interested parties are asked to apply by hand-delivered letter or FAX (supported with a C.V.) to the following:
