Pay Rate:Â $4565.50 per course (In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement)
Work Assignment:
A Part-Time Academic is needed to teach the following course from
January - April, 2013.
Commerce 4121 - Advanced Taxation
Requirements:
Candidates must have a professional accounting designation, must have
completed the CICA In-depth Tax Course; and must have 3-5 years of
professional tax practice experience.
Attributes required:Â Detailed knowledge of taxation issues,
understanding of taxation issues as they are reflected in professional
accounting exams, plus excellent communication skills, organization
skills, and comfortable with a teamwork approach.
The pilipiliÂþ»ful applicant must have an established record of effective
teaching experience in taxation in professional programs.
The pilipiliÂþ»ful candidate must also be able to meet the School's
accrediting body (AACSB) academic qualification requirements or professional
qualification requirements.
Duties included, but are not limited to:
1) responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the
class, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation. The
part-time academic will provide advice and guidance to the Teaching Assistant
and also guidance for grading
2) available for consultation with students for a period after each
class, and also available through e-mail/electronically,
if needed as backup for the Teaching Assistant.
The part-time academic reports to the Director of the Department.
