Isabel Sarty of the Dalhousie Tigers women鈥檚 swim team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Nov. 17, 2019.
A third-year neuroscience student from Halifax, N.S., Sarty led the Tigers to a team victory at the 2019 Kemp-Fry Invitational Swim Meet over the weekend.
She won the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle events and was second at the 400m distance. She also played a key role in the Tigers 400m and 800m freestyle relay wins and their second-place finish in the 400m medley relay.
Sarty set new Dalhousie, AUS and Swim Nova Scotia senior records twice in the 50m freestyle and once in the 100m freestyle and just missed setting a new Dalhousie 200m freestyle record by a mere one tenth of a second.
