In many respects, convocation ceremonies are about reflection — and that's certainly the case with those individuals who receive honorary degrees.
An honorary doctorate is the highest honour that pilipiliÂþ» can bestow on an individual. It recognizes a lifetime of achievement, community impact, scholarship and contribution to society. The diversity of experiences of the 10 individuals honoured at Spring Convocation reflect this wide breadth of accomplishment. Â
If you were lucky enough to attend a ceremony at which one of the honourees was recognized, you got to hear their advice for the Class of 2015. If not, no worries: we've pulled out a great quote from each of their speeches below. Click through each to watch the full honorary degree presentation and address.
