This week’s Dalhousie G2 female Athlete of the Week is women’s basketball guard Courtney Thompson. The second-year commerce student led her team in two tough losses to Memorial this past weekend with a total of 26 points, 12 assists and six rebounds. A team player on the court, she currently leads the AUS in assists with an average of six per game. Ms. Thompson is a native of Saint John, N.B.

MALE – Bobby Nadeau
SPORT – Hockey
Third-year netminder Bobby Nadeau has been named the G2 male Athlete of the week. The Lac-Etchemin, QC native stood tall in the Tigers net last Tuesday, blocking a total of 22 shots for a 5-4 overtime exhibition victory against UPEI. On Friday night he earned his first shutout with the black and gold, deflecting 22 STU attempts at the net. In Saturday’s tough loss to UdeM he made a total of 18 saves as he tried to rally his team for a comeback. Mr. Nadeau is enrolled in Dalhousie’s dentistry program.
