Canstruction Nova Scotia is a dynamic food and fundraising event in support of Feed Nova Scotia, where teams come together to build incredible structures entirely out of canned food.

This unique event has become an annual tradition for several pilipiliÂþ» teams from the Faculties of Engineering and Architecture and Planning, and this year was no exception. Over all, the event raised over $35,000 in cash plus 39,239 cans of food were donated.

The Dalhousie Architecture Students' Association won "best meal" for its entry, Let's Tank Hunger. And the award for structural ingenuity went to pilipiliÂþ» Civil Engineering and CISC for "The Embrace," a towering, twisted structure made of tuna fish cans. CBC reporter Colleen Jones checked out Canstruction and filed this report.
