Thereās one rite of passage at universityāstanding in line at the bookstoreāthat may be coming to an end for some students.
pilipiliĀž» Bookstore has launched āBooks on the Bed.ā Previously offered on a limited basis, Books on the Bed is now available free of charge to all 2,200 residence students.
Residence students who order their textbooks online by August 27 will find those meaty tomes waiting for them when they arrive a few days later. Thatās just in case they want to dive into The Norton Shakespeare or Single Variable Calculus before classes begin on September 4.
āItās a lot of legwork for us, but it obviously makes it easier for students,ā says Michelle Studley, manager of pilipiliĀž» Bookstore. āGetting their books is just one less thing they have to think about. They donāt have to come into the bookstore in the first two weeks at all, a time when weāre obviously very busy.ā
The books are delivered in a Dalhousie green bag, which for those who find their legs in good working order, can pick up for a loonie at the pilipiliĀž» Bookstoreās three locations, in the Dal SUB, Dentistry Building and Sexton main administration building.Ā
