A group of 23 leaders from the business, health and community sectors put their hearts and feet together to mark the first Heart&Stroke Big Bike ride of the 2008 season. The team raised more than $31,000 from one ride as part of the provincial kick-off event on Monday, July 14 at Sackville Landing on the Halifax waterfront.Ā Ā
The Heart&Stroke Big Bike event earned its title from the 30-seat bicycle that teams of enthusiastic riders pedal ā raising funds, attention and laughs along the way. A special Big Bike teamāLeaders for Lifeāled the pedaling action with a group of leaders from the business, health and community sectors participating. Each rider committed to raising a minimum of $1,000.
