Research Interests

My research interests focus on educational strategies for student pilipiliÂþ», in particular those that promote engagement, independence, and accessibility.ÌýRecent projects include introducing visual components into undergraduate curriculum and incorporating student feedback into course design.

About My Teaching Philosophy

People learn better if they’re engaged, so I put as much work into being interesting as being accurate. My most rewarding experiences in my work life involve innovative projects with current and former students. I promote independence and accessibility and incorporate student feedback into my course design. Dalhousie attracts excellent people who are not only academically strong, but also driven to make meaningful contributions above and beyond their degrees. I’m delighted to provide students with opportunities to take a step outside of their traditional work.
