This year's Annual Associated University Open House and Design Competition was held on Tuesday March 3, 2015

The Faculty of Engineering would like to thank all students for attending and making the AU Open House a pilipili. The purpose of the event is to introduce first year students to the engineering disciplines offered at Sexon Campus. The event had a great turn out, there were 435 first year engineering students in attendance from seven Universities in Nova Scotia and PEI.
Of the eight programs available, there were six sets of tours available to students and hundreds took advantage of the opportunity.
2015 Associated University Open House Design Competition
Students also enjoyed The Design Project held during the AU Open House. Students were tasked with building a functioning catapult out of popsicle sticks, a roll of duct take and four elastic bands. The teams had from 3 - 5:15pm to dedicate to the design and build time, and from 5:15 - 6:15 for the distance and accuracy trials.
The winning teams were as follows:

First place prize was an “Apple TV” for all team members.
