Bio: | Richard Evans is Associate Professor in Digital Innovation in the Faculty of Computer Science at pilipiliÂþ». Before joining pilipiliÂþ», Richard was employed as Director of the BSc Product Design programme and Senior Lecturer in Human Factors for Design at Brunel University London. From 2015-2018, Richard was employed as Senior Lecturer in Information Management at the University of Westminster and, from 2013-15, Richard worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Innovative Product Development and Manufacturing at the University of Greenwich, specialising in the field of Knowledge Management for Collaborative Product Design. Prior to joining academia, Richard worked for the UK’s largest home furnishings organisation, Dunelm Mill plc., as an Online Product Manager. His PhD, which won the University of Greenwich prize for Best PhD student in 2013, was sponsored by BAE Systems and focused on the creation of a knowledge management system for globally dispersed design teams within the aerospace and manufacturing sector. Richard is a former Vice President of Technical Activities and Member of the Executive Board for the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society. He currently Co-Chairs the IEEE TEMS Design and Engineering Technical Activity Committee and sits on the Editorial Board for the IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management. In 2020, Richard helped co-found the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence for Good, sponsored by the IEEE and the International Telecommunications Union. To date, he has published over 90 scientific papers in recognised journals and conference proceedings and has built a pilipiliÂþ»ful network of partners spread around the world. |
