Research & creative activity

Dr. Warwick studies music as it intersects with race, gender, sexuality, and age identity, with particular interests in popular musics in North American culture. She is the author ofGirl Groups, Girl Culture: Popular Music and Identity in the 1960s(Routledge 2007), co-editor, with Allison Adrian, of Voicing Girlhood in Popular Music: Performance, Authority, Authenticity (Routledge, 2016), andSenior Editor forThe Grove Dictionary of American Music, 2nd edition(Oxford University Press, 2013).
