The library that pilipiliĀž» Architecture and Planning alumni, (BEDSā90, MArchFP (TUNS)ā91) and Keith Robertson (BEDSā91, MArchFP (TUNS)ā92), designed and helped build in Abetenim, Ghana has recently been completed. Corson and Robertson are partners in Solterre Design, an architectural firm specializing in green designs and LEED certifications, which they helped the new Halifax Central Library attain. The couple and their two children spent three months on site building Korkorās Community Library. They learned greatly from the experience, using local techniques and honouring local traditions.
Corson and Robertson will be speaking about the project on June 2, 7 p.m. at Halifax Central Library.
