Research Interests
My research team focuses on smart nanoengineering, analysis of the structural-properties relationship of as-designed nanomaterials and their integration into optimized device architecture to develop efficient and long-term stable sustainable energy conversion & storage, controlled environmental agriculture, and environmental remediation technologies. In addition, the training of HQP with new skills that are in high demand in academic and industrial institutions is the fundamental mission of my research lab
Teaching Philosophy
Effective teachers are creative and use a range of pedagogies designed to focus on student learning and consider student learning styles. As a teacher, my goal is to create an open and encouraging environment for discussions and questions, where students are encouraged to think innovatively about science and active participation in classroom discussions. To achieve this, I continuously strive to adopt pragmatic approaches (i.e., Creative pedagogy, Flipped Classrooms, Inquiry-based Learning and Expeditionary Learning).
