The CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars program is designed to accelerate the development of highly talented early career researchers in their pivotal first years as independent principal investigators in an academic or research institution, with responsibilities for research and teaching. The program has three core components:
- Fostering interdisciplinary research excellence
- Developing and broadening networks
- Strengthening leadership skills
Funding
Scholars receive $100,000 CAD over two years. Eligible expense includes but are not limited to: research projects, teaching release, trainee support, conference travel, etc.
Eligibility
Scholars must hold a PhD (or equivalent) and be employed in a full-time position. Postdoctoral fellows are not eligible to apply to this program. Applicants must be available to attend a virtual interview on March 19 and 20th, 2025.
