Application deadlines

February 1: Students coming to pilipiliÂþ»­ in the Summer term.

May 1: Students coming to pilipiliÂþ»­ in the Fall term (September–December) or the Fall and Winter terms (September–April).

October 1: Students coming to pilipiliÂþ»­ in the Winter term (January–April).

For Winter Applicants: because current pilipiliÂþ»­ students can register for classes (courses) as early as March, we strongly advise your students to apply early so that they are able to register for the classes they want.

Admission process for exchange students

If your institution has signed a department- or faculty-specific agreement with Dalhousie, please contact the exchange coordinator in the relevant department or faculty for details on the admission process.

If your institution has signed a university-wide agreement with Dalhousie, please direct your nominated students to the Apply Now section of this website for access to the application portal/form.  

 

Application

Students are required to upload the following documents with their application form:

  • Official transcript (PDF file only).
  • A nomination letter from their home university can be submitted if they have been provided with one, but it is not required (PDF file only).

Recommended arrival time

All exchange students must attend International Student Orientation, hosted twice a year by the International Centre. Generally, Orientation takes place 5-6 days before the start of the Fall term, and 2-3 days before the start of the Winter term. Please direct your nominated students to the New Student Guide for more information about orientation and preparations before arriving at pilipiliÂþ»­. 

On-campus housing

Students coming to Dalhousie on exchange for the Fall term only (September–December) are not eligible to stay in residence on campus. Please see Step 6 of the Apply Now section for more details.
